The Environmental Service Providers Association (ESPA) participated in a clean-up exercise initiative along the beaches behind the Art centre, Accra on the 17th August, 2019.

This initiative was jointly organized by First pick limited. The clean-up forms part of social cooperate   responsibility of the Association. The ESPA assisted the exercise with logistics.

The Exercise was undertaken in collaboration with some members of ESPA and other media partnership including Jekora Ventures, Accra FM and Citi TV. The maiden “no more borla in the gorta” initiative seeks to promote awareness on improper disposal of plastic waste in our beaches. The clean-up exercise ultimately precipitated citizen responsibility action on sanitation. The exercise attracted some volunteers within the community and its environs who actively participated in the clean-up exercise.

First pick limited is a social justice company with a keen interest in protecting the environment led by Ama Manson; an educationist and media activist.
