Some members of the Environmental Service Providers Association (ESPA) participated in the One million bin project initiative launched by Universal Plastic Product and Recycling (UPPR), Eco Bank Ghana and ESPA at the conference room of EcoBank Ghana on 3rd December 2019.

The Informal Waste Providers Association members were optimistic that this initiative will go a long way to help facilitate their waste collection thereby increasing their revenue prospects.  A member highlighted one key ordeal in their everyday operations as the lack of household’s having proper container bins for their waste. He noted that “most household containers are relatively small and lacks proper lids. You could have your house clean, but the effect of not properly storing the waste in prescribed containment is very dangerous”. Every household was encouraged to sign-up for a waste bin.
