ESPA participate in validating the Solid waste management (SWM) strategy organized by The Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources in collaboration with UNICEF and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands at Coconut Grove Regency Hotel on 28th November 2019.

Participants’ inputs were solicited on the seven thematic pillars of the Strategy notably: strengthen sector governance, increase private sector participation, optimize service delivery and infrastructure, create positive social actions on SWM, enable effective waste recovery, re-use, and recycling to ensure the effective sector monitoring and evaluation and establish sustainable sector financing mechanisms. The meeting obtains members’ buy-in by extensive deliberation of the developed strategy.

The strategy development is led by Mapel Consult and Oxford Policy Management.
