ESPA joined other sector players deliberate and fine-tune the post Mole Communique at Sunlodge hotel on 27th November 2019. 

The convener of the meeting was CONIWAS. The Mole conference is the biggest and longest-running multi-stakeholder annual platform in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) sector in Ghana.  Stakeholders, therefore, met to extensively deliberate on the draft communique for fine-tuning and submission to the National Executive of CONIWAS for approval.

Subsequently, the team was informed about an upcoming CONIWAS engagement with the Parliamentary select committee on Sanitation and Water Resources. To this end, members discussed thematic areas from the communique to present to the Parliamentary select committee on Sanitation and Water. Salient issues raised included the establishment of a National Sanitation Authority and National Sanitation Fund, 2020 budgetary allocation on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).
